Sarnia police seized $6,528 worth of fentanyl while arresting two people who were allegedly involved in the Stuart Street kidnapping investigation.
Police previously said a 22-year-old woman was kidnapped and assaulted in the area of Stuart Street and Confederation Street on January 10.
On February 5 at 8:20 p.m., officers were at a business on Confederation Street regarding a separate matter when two people, wanted on outstanding arrest warrants, were seen getting out of a taxi.
Sarnia police said during the arrest, 65.28 grams of fentanyl and $510 were seized.
Todd Graham-Grey, 37, of Sarnia was charged with kidnapping, break and enter, mischief under $5,000, forcible confinement, and possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Cassandra Bates, 43, of Sarnia was charged with kidnapping, assault, forcible confinement, break and enter, mischief under $5,000, and possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Police said the other two people previously charged in the investigation have remained in custody since their arrests.
