Lambton OPP helped this little piggy go home

Police are generally busy responding to collisions, stuck vehicles, and other weather related incidents during a snowstorm.

But a call received by Lambton OPP was certainly a 'sow-prise' on Wednesday night.

In the midst of heavy snowfall, officers were called to assist a pig trying to find its way home.

In a social media post, West Region OPP said the unexpected traveler was "spotted hoofing it down Mandaumin Road in Plympton-Wyoming."

"Officers tracked down the owner and made sure our four-legged friend got home safe and sound. Just another ‘ham-azing’ night on patrol," OPP said in the post shared on X.

Clean up continues across Lambton County after a Texas low dumped about 20 cm of snow.
