A Walpole Island man is facing a long list of charges after a break and enter on the First Nation.
Just before noon on February 21, members of the Walpole Island Police Service and Lambton OPP responded to a weapons call at a residence on Tecumseh Road.
The OPP said an individual allegedly entered a home, brandished a firearm, and then left the residence.
Police found a suspect, safely took him into custody, and seized a weapon.
No injuries were reported.
As a result of the investigation, David Isaac, 38, is facing the following charges:
- Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Failure to comply with prohibition order (two counts)
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Assault with a weapon
- Firearm - use while committing offence
- Imitation firearm - use while committing offence
The accused was held pending a bail hearing and was remanded into custody with a court appearance set for February 25.
