Ballots set for Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong

The list of candidates for the upcoming federal election is set.

The deadline for candidates to file their nomination papers for Canada's 45th General Election passed at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 7.

In Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong there will be seven names on the ballot.

The latest to throw their hat in the ring was Mark Lamore who will carry the banner for the Christian Heritage Party.

Brian Everaert is running for the People's Party of Canada and Tony Mitchell is representing the Rhinoceros Party of Canada.

They're going up against incumbent Progressive Conservative Marilyn Gladu, Liberal candidate George Vandenberg, NDP candidate Lo-Anne Chan, and Libertarian Jacques Boudreau.

Voters head to the polls on Monday, April 28.

To be eligible to vote you must be 18 years old or older and a Canadian citizen.

Elections Canada said voter information cards are in the mail.

To confirm, update or add your voter information, you can register online until Tuesday, April 22.
