Sarnia police say a call about a suspicious vehicle has led to two people being arrested on drug trafficking charges.
On Wednesday April 9, just before 10 a.m., officers were called to a parking lot on London Road, east of Murphy Road.
Police said two men were slumped over inside of a silver van and officers woke them up after several tries.
The driver was arrested after police learned he had active arrest warrants out of North Bay and Peterborough.
It's alleged the passenger initially gave officers a fake name, but was eventually arrested for obstructing police.
Police said a search of the vehicle turned up drug trafficking paraphernalia, 17 grams of fentanyl and $11,652 in cash.
Both suspects were also charged with possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000), and failure to comply with a probation order.
They were each remanded into custody following bail hearings.
