Two young Sarnia students are continuing a tradition of hosting a charitable garage sale to support The Inn of the Good Shepherd.
Brooke Reiger and Amisha Duggal first held the fundraising initiative in 2022, along with Ava Salem, and support from their parents and community partners. The event resulted in over $4,000 being donated to The Inn.
Now at 11 years old, Reiger and Duggal are planning to host another garage sale and silent auction on Saturday, June 21 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Some of the items donated for the silent auction include a car detail from BMW, a $50 gift card to The Bagel Factory, a beer tasting for four at Refined Fool Brewing Company, a pedicure at Adora Spa, and a Sarnia Sting hockey puck signed by Carson Hall.
A local company has also agreed to provide an anonymous donation of up to $2,000 to support the event.
The charitable garage sale will be held at 1777 Modeland Rd. in Sarnia.
Reiger and Duggal were recognized for their work within the community last year when they were included in the 2024 mayor's honour list.
