Optimist Club of Moore hosts fall book sale

The Optimist Club of Moore will host another used book sale in Corunna on Saturday.

Club member William (Bill) Moran said the books will be sold for $1 each.

"We ran a book sale back at the end of May and it did very well, but we found that several people stated they couldn't make it, so at the time we had contemplated having another encore sale in the fall," said Moran.

"So, we decided that we're going to have it this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the community building in Corunna at the corner of Lyndoch Street and Hill Street," he added.

Moran said they have a good selection available.

"We've got a lot of mystery books, we have a lot of westerns, there's a good variety of non-fiction, we still have a lot of children's books left and we also have some odd non-fiction books... like woodworking books, and music books, and other things that are quite interesting," Moran said.

The club said the fundraiser will support club operations.

About 5,000 books were collected for the sale in May.
