The outgoing Executive Director of the Inn of the Good Shepherd is excited about the early interest in their 2026 Holiday Cash Calendar.
Myles Vanni said they've been on sale since October 15.
"People are jumping at buying the calendars already, it's a favourite for the holiday season," Vanni said. "We're really blessed to have 5,000 calendars for sale, and we expect to sell out of them. We usually do."
Vanni said it's a fun gift to give and receive.
"For $10 you can get a thank the teacher gift -- because they don't want a mug anyways -- or a stocking stuffer," Vanni laughed. "It just makes a great selection for folks at a reasonable cost and it's going to help a great cause."
The calendars are available through December 31.
"The easiest way is to just purchase it online. Go to our website and you can pick an order right there online and we'll send the tickets to you or you can pick them up," he said. "We're also at things like [Big Brothers] Big Sisters Show and Sale and at the Chamber Showcase. So, lots of locations and pretty easy to buy them."

Vanni said the calendars can also be purchased at reception at The Lodge at 950 Confederation St. and at The Inn of the Good Shepherd at 115 John St.
"The prize board for the cash calendar is $10,000 split over the various days and if you win on one day, your ticket goes back into the barrel. So, you could win again and we often will have somebody win twice through the period," he said.
As an added bonus this year, DeGroot’s Nurseries is sponsoring a bonus draw.
Purchasers are encouraged to fill out the back of their ticket and drop it off at DeGroot’s during January and February for a chance to win a $300 DeGroot’s gift card on February 20, 2026.
All of the funds raised will help support the Inn's food bank and its rent and utility bank program that keeps families housed.
Jack Christine will start transitioning into Vanni's role starting on November 3.
