The Kiwanis Club of Petrolia and Area has launched it's first raffle geared to sports fans, hoping to raise much needed money for its community projects and programs.
Three grand prizes have been put together for "A Year to Cheer."
Fundraising board member Melissa Duquette said 2,000 tickets are available for $10 each.
"The first prize is a suite at a Sarnia Sting home game," Duquette said. "It's worth $1,800 and includes 24 passes."
The second prize is "A Year to Cheer" package, valued at $1,610.
"It includes four rounds of golf at Kingswell Glen in Petrolia, four rounds of golf at Huron Oaks, seasons passes for next year to the Petrolia Flyers, Petrolia Squires and the Alvinston Killer Bees, along with a gift card to Black Gold Brewery in Petrolia for $250," she said.
The final prize is valued at $1,270.
"Prize number three will be passes for four to a London Knights home game and a hockey stick signed by the entire Memorial Cup winning team, the London Knights from last season, as well as a $250 gift card to Black Gold Brewery in Petrolia," Duquette said.
The winning tickets will be drawn at Black Gold Brewery on December 30 at 6 p.m.
Funds raised will support Kiwanis programming, pay for the new Petrolia splash pad which opened in August and be used to purchase items for the Petrolia food bank.
