On November 11, we remember the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict, and peace.
A large crowd braved the chilly and windy conditions at Sarnia's Veterans Park for Tuesday's Remembrance Day service.
The colour party left the Royal Canadian Legion on Front Street at 10:30 a.m. for the customary march through the downtown to the park.
The November 11 address was delivered by Deacon David Cummings.

"At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, time stands still for a moment, and we remember those who died, not for war but for a world that would be free and at peace," said Cummings.
Government officials, various organizations and agencies, and individuals laid around 100 wreaths at the foot of the war memorial in Veterans Park.
The first wreath was placed by Memorial Cross Mother Pat Poland, whose son Brent was killed in Afghanistan in 2007.

"In remembering the generosity of these families who give up their sons and daughters, represented here today by our Silver Cross parents, we remember the importance of generous service to strangers, sometimes even at great personal cost," said Cummings in his address.
This Remembrance Day marks 80 years since the end of the Second World War.
Premier Doug Ford issued a statement for Remembrance Day.
“November 11 is a day when our nation comes together to express our collective appreciation for the courageous men and women in uniform who gave their all to defend the values and freedoms that make Canada the best country in the world," said Ford. "This Remembrance Day, as we observe a moment of silence, I urge the people of Ontario to reflect on the bravery of our Canadian Armed Forces, who left and continue to leave the comforts of home and family to put their lives on the line to protect our country and defend freedom abroad."
