Local charities and groups will benefit from a sweet fundraiser at Tim Hortons' restaurants.
The Holiday Smile Cookie campaign kicks off on Monday, November 17.
Money raised at 11 participating restaurants in Sarnia from the week long campaign will go to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton.
It's the second year in a row the youth organization will receive proceeds from the sweet treats in support of its mentoring programs.
"By enjoying a Holiday Smile Cookie, you're not just treating yourself and spreading some holiday joy, you are making a positive impact in the lives of local youth," read a post on Big Brothers/Big Sisters Facebook page.
The Petrolia and North Enniskillen Fire Department will benefit from the campaign at the Tim Hortons in Petrolia.
Funds will go towards the purchase of fire safety equipment and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
“We’re really excited about this,” said Petrolia and North Enniskillen Fire Department Chief Rick Cousins in a news release. “Make sure you stop by and say hello, we thank you in advance for your support!”
In Corunna, funds will go towards the food bank at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, while Lambton Elderly Outreach will receive money raised in Wyoming.
In Watford, the fundraiser will support the Watford Food Bank and in Forest the Contact House Food Bank will benefit from the campaign.
The Holiday Smile Cookie campaign runs until Sunday, November 23.
