Suspect in Lambton Shores homicide remains in custody

Lambton OPP continue to be tight lipped about a homicide in Lambton Shores over the weekend.

Emergency crews were called to a residence on Northville Cres. near Port Franks at around 1:40 p.m. Saturday.

Police said one person was killed and another was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police have not released the name of the suspect, but court records show that Justin Hack is charged with second degree murder, attempted murder, and two counts of assault with a weapon.

He appeared for a video remand appearance on Tuesday, and will appear again at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police have not released further details, but previously said it was an isolated incident.

The investigation by the Lambton OPP Crime Unit is continuing in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. The OPP Forensic Identification Services is also assisting.
