Point Edward gets into the spirit with Christmas in the Village

Point Edward will come alive with the holiday spirit this weekend.

The 14th annual Christmas in the Village is taking place on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The free, family-friendly event features a number of fun activities including the outdoor Christmas market along Michigan Avenue.

Santa Claus will be at the Community Hall, there will be live music by the Dan Butts Trio, and a chance to take a souvenir photo inside the giant snow globe.

There are also accessible horse and buggy rides, face painting, balloon art, cookies, crafts and more.

Non-perishable items are being collected at Albert's/Suzy's Icecreamporium for their food drive and bake sale, with proceeds benefitting the Inn of the Good Shepherd.

You can exchange four non-perishable items for one small fry, two items for one hot dog, or one item for a pop.

Wight Bus Lines will be taking people anywhere in Point Edward on their Polar Express Shuttle.

More information is posted to the village's website.
