A seven-year-old Sarnia girl will make her debut on the runway at Toronto Kids Fashion Week (TKFW) on Saturday.
The show, at the Enercare Centre, will celebrate kids fashion and feature top children's fashion designers and iconic kids brands in Canada and around the world.
Arabella Mathieson-Harbaugh, a Grade Two student at École élémentaire catholique Saint-Thomas-d'Aquin, told Sarnia News Today she's thrilled to be participating.
"I did an audition and they selected me. So now, it's going so well, and I got the part! So, I'm really excited," Mathieson-Harbaugh said.
The event, which has included dancing and performances in the past, features models from ages three to 18.
"I'm most excited about everything! It's my very first time, but I have really been enjoying it," she added.
Mathieson-Harbaugh was happy to share what she's learned about walking the catwalk.
"Basically, you start as a line for the catwalk. You walk straight, then you do your poses. Our pose one, is where you add your hands. Your fingers are stuck together, and around your hip. You have to count to three... one, two, three... then you change, you're arms are down and then you're all great," she explained.
Mathieson-Harbaugh said she will be wearing clothing from the Rain On Me designer collection.
"I have a tutu, and a jacket, and I have a little scarf that's purple," Mathieson-Harbaugh said.
