Sting kick off northern road trip with a 2-1 loss to North Bay

The Sarnia Sting suffered a 2-1 loss on the road in North Bay Thursday night.

Scoring the lone goal for Sarnia was Liam Beamish, his fifth of the season.

Nick Wellenreiter and Nolan Laird both scored for the Battalion.

Sting goalie Patrick Quinlan man 31 saves in net.

The Sting drop to 7-15-4 on the season, sitting fifth in the West Division.

Sarnia travels to Sudbury Friday night to face the Wolves.
