The Sarnia Police Service responded to the incident, which saw a van and dump truck collide, early in the afternoon.
The injured person was taken to Bluewater Health for treatment.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area while the scene was cleared.
Further information, including details about possible charges, has yet to be released.
