Environment Canada was advising of heavy snow Tuesday, tracking towards the area from Michigan.
A short-lived special weather statement was issued at around 9 a.m., but ended shortly before noon.
The national weather agency said snow will taper to scattered flurries by late afternoon.
Up to 10 centimetres of snow is forecasted for Sarnia-Lambton Tuesday night, with the risk of freezing drizzle and blowing snow.
Motorists are advised visibility may be reduced to near zero at times, and to adjust your driving to the changing conditions.
