The Sarnia and District Humane Society has received a 'paws-itively' wonderful gift from Finch Ford Lincoln to help transport animals to the shelter.
The local dealership recently donated a high-roof van.
"So it allows them the ability to move more animals in a short amount of time if they need it," said Finch Ford Lincoln Vice President of Operations Brad Hutchinson. "We actually installed heating and cooling in the back. So the [animals] coming that maybe aren't starting from the best location are at least coming back in a heated and cooled van. So their trip back to the shelter is a little better than it could be."
Hutchinson said they have a relationship with the humane society and have donated money in the past.
"The humane society needed a new van to continue the community outreach side of things and it was something that's kind of near and dear to the staff and the owners of Finch Ford. It just seemed like the right fit," he said.
The van's wrap was designed by staff at Sure Signs with photos of local animals snapped by Simply Fetching Pet Fur-tography.
