Sarnia police have released surveillance video of a hit and run crash, involving a pedestrian, in the city's south end and are looking for the driver involved.
Officers were called to the intersection of Talfourd Street and Queen Street on December 9 at around 8:26 p.m.
Police said a red or maroon SUV, possibly a Jeep Compass or Cherokee, was travelling westbound on Talfourd Street when it turned left onto Queen Street and struck a man in the crosswalk.
The video shows the driver get out of the vehicle and look at the victim momentarily before getting back in the driver’s seat and speeding away westbound on Talfourd.
The driver was described as wearing light brown boots, blue jeans, a grey trench coat, and a white ball hat. The 54-year-old pedestrian was treated at the scene and transported to Bluewater Health for non-life-threatening injuries.
