Lambton Heritage Museum seeking photos celebrating local farming

Lambton Heritage Museum is asking community members to participate in a photography initiative highlighting modern farming in the county.

The museum is looking for photos that highlight the people, landscapes, animals, and technology that shape the region's agricultural life.

The photos will be featured in a community collage to showcase the diversity, innovation, and traditions found on local farms.

“Our museum team has been hard at work developing our Agricultural Hall exhibition. While we have many excellent images of the history of agriculture in Lambton County, we don’t have a lot of pictures that tell the story of farming today,” said Lambton Heritage Museum Curator/Supervisor Dana Thorne, in a news release. “We’re looking forward to seeing what the community has to offer!”

Photos can be submitted until Saturday, January 31, through an online form available on the Museum's website.

Anyone who wants to submit physical photographs for scanning may call the museum at 519-243-2600.

Selected images will be put into a community collage and displayed as part of the new Agricultural Hall exhibition at Lambton Heritage Museum.
