Community Futures Lambton (CFL) has announced the Community Futures Grant Program is back for its second year.
The program will offer $40,000 in funding this year to support local non-profits, charities, schools and other community-based organizations across Lambton County.
The programs inaugural year saw 51 applications with nearly $245,000 in funding requests. Organizations that applied for or received funding in 2025 are eligible to reapply in this new intake.
"(CFL) offers grants of between $500 and $5000 for eligible projects that enhance and strengthen our Lambton County communities," said Chief Executive Officer for Community Futures Lambton, Sarah Reaume. "Applications will open on the first of March and will close on the 31st of March. Those applications are available at CF lambton.com, and folks can go on and complete the online application there, and before mid-April, we'll announce the winners."
CFL is committed to providing annual funding for community projects and works to increase what it can provide yearly to help meet community needs, and said that this year’s investment reflects that commitment.
"We are encouraging applications from charitable organizations or registered charities, non-profit organizations, service clubs, social service organizations, municipalities, educational institutions, those sorts of folks (to apply)," said Reaume. "This is for activities and events that happen between the first of April this year and the end of March next year. So that's the timeframe within which these events or activities or initiatives need to happen,"
CFL is funded by the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
