Lambton County residents are being asked to provide feedback through an online survey as the social services division updates its 10-year Housing and Homelessness Plan.
The county said the updated plan will help guide decisions and set clear goals to help address housing and homelessness needs in the community.
General Manager of Social Services Melissa Fitzpatrick said public input is an important part of this process.
"We'd like people's perspectives on their experiences of homelessness, their level of housing precarity -- if there is any, their level of housing security, and just any overall opinions on what people see as solutions to the housing and homelessness crisis in our community," she said.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
"There are a number of predetermined answers, like multiple-choice type questions," she said. "But at the end, certainly there's space for open comments if anyone wishes to provide them."
OrgCode Consulting Inc. will collect the survey results and will help the county update its plan.
"The feedback will be collated, we'll look for themes, any general ideas that come through and certainly use that to help shape the goals of our new housing and homelessness plan," said Fitzpatrick.
The survey will be available on the county's website until Friday, February 13.
The updated plan will be shared with county council in late spring.
