Two Canadian skating legends will headline this year's Bluewater Health Foundation Gala.
Foundation Executive Director Kathy Alexander said Olympic champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, recognized globally for their excellence in ice dance, are this year's keynote speakers.
Born in London, Ontario, Virtue and Moir are the most decorated ice dance team in Olympic history, earning five Olympic medals, including three gold.
"So many accolades and they were both just in Italy at the Olympics in very different capacities, Scott as a coach and Tessa as a commentator," said Alexander. "We're so excited to hear their stories of, perseverance, opportunity, success, Olympic pressures, there are just so many incredible stories that they can drawn from."

Alexander said once again the event, sponsored by NGL Supply Co. Ltd., will be held at Chris Hadfield Airport.
"At the Badger Hangar, we love having the event there," she said. "It's a unique venue, super fun to always see it come together and wait until you see what is being planned this year...figure skater is all I can say."
Tickets are available through the Bluewater Health Foundation by contacting Adelle Stewardson at 519-464-4439 or astewardson@bluewaterhealth.ca.
Tickets for 'Beyond The Podium: An Evening with Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir', are $250 each and include a $100 tax receipt.
Alexander said money raised will go back into the Sarnia hospital.
"This year's gala proceeds are supporting renewal and investment in diagnostic imaging, which is a crucial department at Bluewater Health that encompasses MRI, CT, X-ray, mammography, integral components of so many patient outcomes."
Medical Director, Diagnostic Imaging at Bluewater Health Dr. Youssel Almalki said the department plays a vital role in patient care right across the hospital.
“From pregnancy and childhood to adulthood and end-of-life care, nearly everyone relies on diagnostic imaging at some point in their life," said Dr. Almalki in a news release. "At Bluewater Health, we are incredibly grateful to the foundation for the advanced equipment we have – and continue to acquire – to support patients and families.”
