SPS launches website to find city's most wanted suspects

The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) is hoping to build on the success of its "Wanted Wednesday" campaign with the launch of the "Sarnia's Most Wanted" website.

"Wanted Wednesday" started in the spring of 2024, and police said it's been a useful tool to hold offenders accountable for crimes within the city.

Police said the community information-sharing initiative has already directly led to the arrests of over 50 people, and has been especially helpful for lower priority crimes investigated by the Community Crime Unit (CCU).

Wanted suspects featured on the website have been charged with crimes or are being sought for criminal offences.

Police said warrants are most often obtained when an individual cannot be located, including those who are purposefully evading arrest.

"Sarnia's Most Wanted" can be viewed on the city police service's website.

Anyone with information regarding criminal activity or the whereabouts of wanted individuals is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service immediately at (519) 344-8861.

To report anonymously, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.p3tips.com.
