Old Show, New Tricks: Revue 2026

It's a popular Sarnia tradition dating back over a century.

The Revue will be held at Great Lakes Secondary School (GLSS) on April 16, 17 and 18 with over 100 students involved in the production.

This year's theme is Old Show, New Tricks: Revue 2026.

Quinn Stevens, Tess Elviage, and Jonas Johansen are this year's student emcees.

Stevens said there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

"This is a big variety show, we've got tons of skits, musical acts, dances and comedy bits that will make you giggle," said Stevens. "Of course, there's also the kick line like always."

Elviage said being involved with the Revue has been a tremendous life experience.

"The Revue for me, and I'm sure for everyone that's in it, is a big social thing," said Elviage. "I would say you meet so many new people and I have friends that I met in Grade 9. I'm now in Grade 12, and I still talk to them every single day. It really helps bring out your personality. I think it's made me more of an outgoing person."

Johansen echoed Elviage's sentiments.

"It's shaped me to be a person who really wants to try a little bit of everything," said Johansen. "When I came in a Grade 9, I'm just like this nervous little guy. I'm like, oh what if I try music and then it leads into oh what if I try drama. This has really led me to become a person who's ready to try new things ready to learn hard things because music and drama aren't easy things."

The annual variety show became a tradition when Sarnia Collegiate Institute and Technical School (SCITS) opened, with its state-of-the-art auditorium, on Wellington Street in 1922.

GLSS said the long-standing arts tradition has seen generations of students make their mark on the stage, with many performers’ parents and grandparents sharing Revue alumni status with these talented students.

The doors will open at 7 p.m., and the performances kick off at 7:30 p.m. each night at the Great Lakes auditorium on Murphy Road at Wellington Street.

General admission tickets are $10 ahead of time and $12 at the door.

They're available through the Book Keeper in Sarnia or at Pets Life in Corunna.

Tickets can also be purchased by the public from the main office at Great Lakes Secondary School from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.

The Revue sponsors several scholarships and awards for graduating students each year, as well as invests in enhancements to the arts programs and facilities at GLSS.
