A Petrolia councillor has announced an extended leave from town council.
Councillor Ross O'Hara will now be absent from his duties as a municipal councillor for the remainder of the 2022-2026 term.
His original leave was approved by council in April.
In a media release, Clerk/Operations Clerk Mandi Pearson said during this time O'Hara will not be attending any council meetings or participating in official municipal responsibilities.
"On behalf of council and staff, we wish councillor O’Hara all the very best," said Pearson.
O'Hara has been a member of Petrolia Town Council for about 30 years.
