A 45-year-old man accused of stabbing a woman at Centennial Park has been arrested.
Sarnia police said William Gallerno was arrested by OPP officers in Strathroy Thursday evening.
Gallerno was transferred into the custody of the Sarnia Police Service and held for a bail hearing.
Police are thanking the public for their assistance in finding Gallerno, who was wanted on charges of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and failure to comply with a release order.
It's alleged Gallerno stabbed a woman in the back of her upper arm at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 21. She sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the scene.
Charges against the accused have not been proven in court.
