The 2018 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection was held on Saturday.
The Sarnia Sting took 5' 10'', 195 lbs. centre Jacob Perreault with the 19th overall selection.
The son of former NHLer Yanic Perreault scored 27 goals and added 23 assists in 47 games with the Chicago Mission U16 team this past season.
The Sting traded their second round pick to the Ottawa 67's in the Drake Rymsha deal, while their third rounder was originally sent to the Oshawa Generals in the Matt Mistele trade.
The Sting had a pair of fourth round picks. They chose right handed defenceman Nolan Dillingham-Morelli 68th overall. He's coming off a 30 game season with the Mississauga Rebels Minor Midget AAA team in which he scored three goals and dished out 16 assists.
Centre Nolan Burke was picked 79th overall. He put up 22 goals and 28 assists in 35 games with the Peterborough Petes Minor Midget AAA team this year.
Sarnia native Blake Butler was chosen in the third round, 46th overall, by the Sudbury Wolves. The 5' 11", 190 lbs. centre scored 14 goals and added 18 assists in 33 games with the Lambton Jr. Sting Minor Midget AAA program this past season. Butler's Jr. Sting teammate Darren Beattie was also chosen by the Wolves. The defenceman went in the tenth round, 191st overall.
