Young Lambton golfers win silver at Ontario Summer Games

The SMAA Lambton Junior Golf Tour is highlighting the recent success of its young members at the Ontario Summer Games, held in London.

The girls team captured silver and Andrea Lai won a silver medal in the individual competition.

"This is an outstanding and a very much remarkable achievement considering our tour is only in its second season and our team competed against [nine] other provincial tours, with many more years of pedigree in this event," said Dr. Michael Rocca in an emailed statement.

While the boys team didn't place, Rocca said they have their sights set on the 2026 games for better results.

Competitions at the Summer Games were held during the long weekend from August 2 to August 4.

The Lambton Junior Golf Tour officially began its second season in June. The tour's final event of the season will be held on August 25 at the St. Clair Parkway Golf Course.
