The Sarnia Sting are back in the loss column just two days after ending a seven game losing streak.
They hosted the North Bay Battalion on Sunday and lost 5-1.
It didn't take long for North Bay to open up the scoring as Jacob LeBlanc found the back of the net under two minutes in.
That was the only goal of the first period with the Sting outshooting North Bay 13-9.
The second period saw four goals, however, the Sting only scored one.
Ihnat Pazii and Andrew LeBlanc extended North Bay's lead before Daylen Moses scored his eighth of the season shorthanded for the Sting. Getting the only assist was Jack O'Brien.
Nick Wellenreiter added another for North Bay, giving them a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes.
The Sting outshot North Bay in the third, however, the only goal came from the Battalion's Parker Vaughan into an empty-net.
With the loss, Sarnia's record drops to 19-26-4-7, while North Bay moves to 23-28-4-0.
The Sting's next game is on Wednesday, February 26, on the road against the Flint Firebirds.
