Canada's men's national soccer team will have to wait a few more months to find out who they'll play in the first game of the 2026 World Cup.
The draw to determine which countries will play each other in the group stage of the tournament was held on Friday in the U.S.
Canada was put in Group B alongside Switzerland and Qatar. The last spot will be determined through a playoff between Italy, Northern Ireland, Wales, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The playoff winner will open their tournament in Toronto against Canada on June 11, 2026.
Canada's second game will be against Qatar in Vancouver on June 18, 2026.
The match between Canada and Switzerland will take place on June 24, 2026, in Vancouver.
