The Sarnia Sting beat the visiting Soo Greyhounds 6-5 in a shootout on Family Day.
Jack Van Volsen put Sarnia on the board with an assist from Alessandro Di Iorio.
Sault Ste. Marie scored twice in the first and second periods.
Easton Walos scored for Sarnia during a powerplay and the Sting added two more goals in the second period from Liam Beamish and Jordan Bax.
The Soo tied up the game with two more goals in the second and third periods.
Brenner Lammens scored for Sarnia in the third with an assist from Logan Hawery, but Sault Ste. Marie answered with a fifth goal.
Hawery scored the shootout-winning goal for Sarnia.
Sting goalie Patrick Quinlan saved 23 of the 28 shots on net.

Monday's win comes after last week's 11-3 loss to Saginaw on Friday and a 6-4 loss to Windsor on Thursday.
The Sting will host Guelph at Progressive Auto Sales Arena on Wednesday, February 18.
