Sports collectable appraisals at baseball hall of fame

Sports collectors can learn the value of their merchandise this week at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys.

Representatives from Heritage Auctions, one of the largest sports collectables auction houses in the world, will be on hand.

Director of Operations Scott Crawford said you can get three items appraised for a $10 donation toward the museum. He says they'll look at items from every sport, not just baseball.

"These guys have expertise in game-worn jerseys, equipment, vintage sports cards and autographed items. Their business is one of the biggest in North America, and they're ready to go. They'll spend two days up here."

The sessions are on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Crawford also suggests checking out the newly renovated site.

The revamped building includes a 2,500 square foot addition and a number of new exhibits.
