It continues to pay to host Caesars Windsor.
The City of Windsor received $2,009,289 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. That's its share for the fourth quarter.
The money can be used to support local programming and projects.
The payments are based on a formula consistently applied across all municipalities that host casinos, using a graduated scale of gaming revenue.
Since the casino opened in 1994, Windsor has received $131,345,929 in gaming revenue. This year alone, it was awarded $9,514,363.
