Windsor police say a man facing a multitude of firearm-related charges has allegedly violated bail conditions.
The man was granted bail in June 2025 on charges including pointing a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, possession of a restricted firearm without a licence, carrying a concealed weapon, and contravening a regulation of the Firearms Act.
He was required to be on house arrest and live with his surety at an address in Tecumseh. A surety is a person who agrees to supervise a person on bail and ensure they are meeting conditions.
The man was rearrested in July on charges of two counts of failing to comply with a release order, two counts of mischief under $5,000, and administering a noxious substance.
He was let out on bail again in November and was required to live either with his surety or at a facility in Chatham. He was also ordered to undergo electronic monitoring.
In April 2026, Windsor police bail compliance officers launched an investigation and learned that the man had breached conditions at least three times.
On Thursday afternoon, bail compliance officers worked with the OPP-led Repeat Offender Enforcement (ROPE) Squad to find the 45-year-old man in Chatham-Kent and arrest him.
He is charged with three counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
The surety, a 45-year-old man, was arrested in Windsor and faces two counts of facilitating a breach of a release order.
The charges have not been proven in court.
