Members of the St. Clair Catholic District School Board have open ears when it comes to developing a strategic plan for future years.
Deb Crawford, the director of education, said the school board is moving forward with a Thought Exchange program this month, which will eventually lead to a multi-year strategic plan.
Meetings with stakeholders started on Wednesday. Following those meetings, Crawford said the program will be open to parents, teachers, staff, and students so that they can share their thoughts as well.
"We want to ask them the question of how we can work together and what we see as things that we can do to build Catholic education," said Crawford. "We'll use this towards the development of our multi-year strategic plan."
The Thought Exchange program will be available until the end of January.
"We're going to be promoting this through all of our schools, we're sending messages out to everyone that we have emails for, as well you'll be able to go to the board's website, we're sending the information to our parishes as well," said Crawford.
"It's really important that everyone's voice is heard," she added. "We're very excited to have this opportunity to reach out to everyone in our community."
Crawford said a group will look at the results of the Thought Exchange in February. That will then lead to the development of a strategic plan, that will go to trustees for approval before the end of the year. Crawford said she expects the strategic plan to be used over the next five years or so.
