The celebration in Chatham that will cap off a milestone weekend for RM Sotheby's just got a little sweeter.
Canadian rock group Big Sugar is set to perform at the Chatham Capitol Theatre on Saturday, June 22 as part of a two-day celebration for RM Sotheby's 40th Anniversary (June 21-22).
The proceeds from the concert will support the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation and will be used to provide end-of-life hospice care to local families.
"We are excited to announce even more fun set for our 40th Anniversary Celebration weekend, which continues to grow," said Rob Myers, Founder, Chairman and CEO of RM Sotheby's. "Between the cars and the concerts, there will be something for everyone to enjoy... and we're proud to support an organization as important as the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation."
Led by vocalist Gordie Johnson, Big Sugar is perhaps best known for hits like "Diggin A Hole" and "Turn The Lights On". Local band Superfly will be opening the concert and ticket information is expected to be released soon.
Hundreds of classic cars and classic car enthusiasts are also expected to descend on Chatham for the celebration weekend, which will include festivities associated with the 19th Annual RetroFest and a concert by Sam Roberts Band on Friday, June 21 at Tecumseh Park in Chatham.
