Shotgun-wielding man faces multiple charges
A 35-year-old Chatham man is facing several charges after allegedly pointing a shotgun at a woman during an argument.
Officers were called to a Chatham residence on Sunday regarding a disturbance. Police said a woman ran out of the house for help. During a search, police said a shotgun was found in the kitchen, and drugs such as methamphetamine and hydromorph pills were found in the man's possession.
Police said the 35-year-old is now charged with assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, being in possession contrary to an order, careless storage of a firearm, and two counts of drug possession. --------
Charge laid in Wallaceburg crash
A 30-year-old man from Wallaceburg has been charged with impaired driving following a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon.
Police said the collision happened on Murray Street near Earl Street in Wallaceburg. A driver was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. Police suspected the other driver to be under the influence of alcohol.
The Wallaceburg man has since been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He has a future court date set for May 10.

Police hope to identify theft suspect
Chatham-Kent police are asking for help in identifying a man accused of shoplifting at the Walmart in Chatham.
The theft incident was reported Thursday morning. Police describe the man in the photo provided as being approximately 30-years-old, with a slender build and short hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black jacket, dark jeans, and white and black running shoes.

Break-in reported at Chatham Subway restaurant
Police are investigating a break-in at a Subway restaurant on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Sometime over the weekend, someone broke into the restaurant, causing about $500 worth of damage. Police said a small amount of cash was stolen from the register.

Stolen Audi found at crash scene
Officers are investigating after a stolen vehicle was found abandoned on Regent Street in Blenheim.
A 2010 black Audi was reported stolen from the Blenheim Arena. The theft reportedly took place between 9 p.m. Saturday night and 1 a.m. Sunday morning. The Audi was later found around 1:30 a.m. Sunday after officers were called to a single-vehicle collision. No one was found at the scene and the vehicle was towed from the area.

Wallaceburg man faces additional charges
A 25-year-old Wallaceburg man is in more trouble with the law after allegedly breaking his court-ordered conditions.
Police said the 25-year-old had been ordered on Friday to obey a curfew and stay home between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The Wallaceburg man was spotted by an officer Sunday night walking on Wallace Street near McDougal Street.
During a search, police seized crystal methamphetamine. The 25-year-old is now charged with failing to comply and drug possession.

Man arrested in shoplifting investigation
A 36-year-old man wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident has been arrested.
Police said the 36-year-old was picked up over the weekend in Blenheim. He's charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000. He was also charged with failing to report and failing to comply with a court order.
