Vintage fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances will be on full display this Saturday in Port Lambton.
Vintage Fire Truck & Equipment magazine, VFTE, is hosting its third annual Rigs and Gigs event at Brander Park.
Organizer Brent DeNure said the day will feature music, food, activities, and a variety of rigs that have seen plenty of action.
"There's one truck that served in the NYC Fire Department and it was actually dispatched to the World Trade Center the day of 9/11," said DeNure. "We also have a tiller fire truck from Philadelphia, and I think the oldest participating truck is from 1927 and we'll have trucks up to 1988, so people will get a great opportunity to see the evolution of fire apparatus."
DeNure said there'll be around 30 to 40 rigs on display. Any residents looking to bring their own rig is asked to be at the park no later than 10:30 a.m.

He said if you live around St. Clair Parkway, you may see the trucks drive by Saturday morning.
"Our tour will leave Brander Park at 11 a.m., it will proceed up north up the St. Clair Parkway to Highway 80, and then button-hook on its way down back to the park," he said.
DeNure said there are a lot of things to keep the whole family entertained.
"We usually get between 500 and 1,000 people. Between the splash pad, Stan Safety "the magical" Fireman, the Wallaceburg Brass Factory concert, and the beautiful view of the river with the freighters going by all day, we expect it to be a big hit," said DeNure. "Wallace-Kent Sprinkler Systems will also be doing a flash fire demonstration, so this will show youth and family just how quickly fire can spread, and the importance of fire suppression system."
VFTE is a magazine DeNure and his wife run out of Chatham.
"We've got about 4,000 subscribers in eight countries," said DeNure. "It's a premier publication -- the photography and the content all are captivating and really speak well to our niche market. And last year we were fortunate enough to fly to Burbank and interview Jay Leno and talk fire trucks with him."
Saturday's event begins at 11 a.m. with the parade and concludes around 4 p.m. Donations will be accepted in support of the magazine and the Wallaceburg Brass Factory group, who will be performing at 1:30 p.m.
