The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is reminding residents they need to make an appointment to be tested for COVID-19.
The province has expanded testing guidelines, making testing available to everyone.
The health alliance is recommending you seek testing if you have a least one symptom of COVID-19, even if it's mild. You could also seek testing if you have been exposed to COVID-19 by close contact with someone who has a confirmed or suspected case or if you are at risk of exposure through your employment.
There is a virtual assessment model on the province's website you can access. If directed, you should call your family doctor to be further assessed and sent for testing. You can also contact Huron Perth Public Health at 1-888-221-2133 ext 3267.
You are asked not to show up to one of the Alliance's four testing sites without an appointment.
Effective today, the testing site at Stratford General Hospital is moving to a drive-through model. It's at the West Building Outpatient Clinic Entrance, under the canopy off West Gore Street. If you do not have access to a vehicle you will still be accommodated.
There are also testing sites at Clinton Public Hospital's Emergency Department, St. Marys Memorial Hospital Emergency Department, and Seaforth Community Hospital Emergency Department.
