Residents in the Wallaceburg area are getting increased access to COVID-19 testing.
On June 11, 12, and 13 mobile testing will take place in front of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) Wallaceburg site, located at 325 Margaret Ave.
The initiative is being put on by the CKHA in partnership with Chatham-Kent EMS and CK Public Health. Anyone who believes they require a COVID-19 swab test can visit the mobile drive-thru clinic during these days. Testing will also be available for those who do not arrive in a vehicle.
To help streamline the flow of traffic, patients are being asked to enter the site off of St. Thomas Avenue. Signage will be in place to direct patients upon their arrival. From there, a staff member will register individuals before a member of the health care team performs a swab test.
Anyone coming to the mobile testing clinic is being reminded to bring a valid health card. Due to the extreme heat forecasted this week, patients are asked to not bring any children or frail adults along with them if they are not being tested and leave any pets at home.

"This mobile drive-thru clinic will ensure more residents in the Wallaceburg area who are concerned about COVID-19 will be able to receive a test in a convenient setting."
The mobile clinic will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. If there is a high demand for testing, CKHA officials will add additional clinic days.
