Man charged with assault
Chatham-Kent police arrested a 37-year-old man and charged him with assault after officers were called to investigate a disturbance in Chatham this week.
Police said they learned Wednesday morning that the incident had taken place earlier this month between the man and a woman who he knows.
The accused was later released pending a future court date.

Local man out past his curfew
A 40-year-old Chatham man who was supposed to stay inside overnight was arrested during an early morning stroll on Wellington Street.
Police said the man was released from court on February 19 with several conditions, including a curfew of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
An officer allegedly saw the man walking on Wellington Street at around 2:45 a.m. Thursday, so he was arrested.
The accused was later released pending a future court date.

Convenience store stop leads to arrest
Chatham-Kent police arrested a 22-year-old Chatham man after officers got a call about a disturbance outside of a local convenience store.
Police said they were called to the store in Chatham Wednesday night and they were able to catch up with the man after a short foot chase.
Officers learned that the man was currently banned from attending the store, so he was arrested and charged with breaching his probation order.
The accused was later released pending a future court date.

Speeders stopped in Tilbury
Thirteen unlucky drivers will have to pay up after they were caught speeding in Tilbury on Wednesday.
Police said they stopped all thirteen in just two hours while officers were conducting speed enforcement on Mill Street.
