Charges laid after incidents of domestic violence
Two men are facing charges after a pair of recent investigations into some domestic disturbances in Chatham-Kent.
Police said in the first case, a 37-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with one count of mischief and two counts of uttering threats. He's accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend and breaking a window at her home in Chatham, causing about $300 in damage.
In that case, the accused was later released pending a future court date.
In the second case, police were called to an address in Howard Township Tuesday night and arrested a 26-year-old man accused of domestic assault.
Police said as a result of their investigation, the man was charged with one count each of mischief and assault along with two counts of assault causing bodily harm. He was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

More speeders stopped in CK
Chatham-Kent police have been handing out a lot of paper recently.
Officers were out conducting speed enforcement again on Longwoods Road and McNaughton Avenue in Chatham on Tuesday and stopped 37 drivers who were then charged with speeding.
Another 68 speeders were stopped and charged on Monday and more than two dozen others were ticketed late last week.
