HPPH begin beach water testing with reduced hours

Huron Perth Public Health have begun their yearly beach water testing.

This year due to COVID-19, instead of two tests per week, the HPPH will conduct one test per week every Wednesday. If high E. coli counts require beach water to be tested again, resampling will be done on Fridays and Saturdays where required.

The HPPH wants to stress that even though they have begun beach water testing, some beaches are closed to the public because of COVID-19, and before visiting a beach, it is best to consult with your municipality prior to attending any local beaches during this time.

Results of E. coli counts, as well as any no-swim advisories, will be posted on www.hpph.ca/beachinfo. Information will also be shared on the Huron Perth Public Health Facebook page, as well as @huronbeachinfo on Twitter.
