One robbery suspect arrested, second suspect still at large
Chatham-Kent police have made one arrest and they are looking for a second man after an alert citizen was allegedly robbed in Chatham.
Investigators said the citizen reported seeing two men stealing from a building under renovation on Fifth Street in Chatham at around midnight Tuesday and started taking pictures of them in an effort to help police.
The men then allegedly assaulted the citizen and stole his cell phone.
Police said they were able to find one of the suspects a short distance away and arrested him, but they are still working to identify the second man involved.
A 33-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with robbery in connection with the case and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Disturbance call leads to two arrests
Two people who weren't supposed to be communicating with each other have been arrested after police allegedly found them together at an apartment in Wallaceburg.
Police said they found the pair while they were following up on a disturbance call Tuesday night.
A 33-year-old woman was arrested and charged with failing to comply with her release conditions -- she was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
A 32-year-old man was also arrested -- he was charged with two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions because he had also been ordered not to attend that specific address. Police said the man was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court to provide a DNA sample. He was also taken into custody pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested after transport truck stolen from Chatham
A 41-year-old St. Thomas man is facing multiple charges after a transport truck and trailer were reported stolen from a parking lot on Richmond Street in Chatham on Monday.
Police said through their investigation, they were able to find the trailer in a parking lot on Victoria Road in Ridgetown. Officers also found the truck -- it was at a residence on Knights Line in Blenheim.
Police said they found a suspect in the area of the stolen truck. Officers also allegedly found a stolen laptop in his possession.
The man they arrested was charged with two counts of theft and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime. He was later released pending a future court date.

Drunk driver ends up in the ditch
A 23-year-old Chatham resident is facing three impaired driving charges after OPP in Middlesex County were called to a complaint of a motor vehicle that was stuck in the ditch just outside of Strathroy.
Police said they received the call at around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday and ended up charging the accused with driving while impaired by alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit, and having an open container of liquor in the vehicle.
The driver was later released from custody and with a future court date.
