Construction truck allegedly stolen twice in 24 hours
Three suspects have been arrested after a construction truck was allegedly stolen for the second time in 24 hours.
According to police, a truck from the Kingston area was recovered and towed to a Chatham-Kent towing agency on Thursday and by early morning Friday, police received a stolen vehicle report for the same truck.
Police say the truck was spotted driving in a dangerous manner in a populated area. The vehicle was located by a GPS tracker and found abandoned on Dillon Road in Chatham.
Several patrol officers and the K9 unit attended the area.
Police conducted a track along the train tracks in the area where the three suspects were located and arrested.
Two men and a woman were taken to the Chatham-Kent police headquarters where they were held on bail for charges of theft and possession over $5,000 and dangerous driving.

Motorists charged with impaired driving
Two motorists have been charged with impaired driving after police responded to complaints from citizens who called in within less than an hour of each other on Friday night.
An Essex man was stopped on Richmond Street by police just after 9:30 p.m. and found to have 2.5 times the legal limit of alcohol in his system, according to police.
He was arrested and charged with operation while impaired for having a blood-alcohol level over 80. He was released with a court date on October 6.
A Thamesville man was stopped by police on Grand Avenue in Chatham shortly after police received a second citizen complaint around 10:09 p.m.
The driver was observed to be impaired and transported to police headquarters.
