The number of COVID-related deaths has climbed to 85.
The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit is reporting three new deaths in its latest weekly update, which was released on Wednesday.
No other information about the deaths was made available.
There are 63 new cases in Chatham-Kent as the positivity rate dipped slightly to 10.8 per cent.
The outbreak at Meadow Park long-term care home in Chatham was also declared over. There were 26 total COVID-19 cases there.
There are currently two active outbreaks, one at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in Chatham, and one at Fairfield Park long-term care home in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) reported on Thursday that a three-week old COVID-19 outbreak in the Medicine A Unit at at the Chatham hospital is over. CKHA said the outbreak declared on July 22, 2022 has been deemed over by the public health unit. The outbreak in the Medicine B Unit at the Chatham site remains active with six cases.
