Suspicious person call leads to arrest
A man who was supposed to be following a curfew is in trouble with the law now after running out of gas in Chatham Township.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to Kent Bridge road for a suspicious person report. It was reported that a man wearing a motorcycle helmet and walking a motorcycle was knocking on doors looking to purchase fuel.
Police arrived and located the motorcycle parked on the side of the roadway. With the assistance of police dog Helix and a drone, the police found the man in a cornfield. Through investigation, police learned that he was bound by a curfew condition.
As a result, the 45-year-old Camden Township man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a release order. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date.

Woman arrested for allegedly assaulting partner
A 33-year-old Chatham woman is facing an assault charge after a disturbance on Tuesday night.
Around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to King Street West for a disturbance. Police attended and located a man and a woman.
Through investigation, officers learned the two engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated when the woman allegedly punched and scratched the man.
After her arrest, she was transported to police headquarters and eventually released with conditions and a future court date.

Man arrested for bail violations
A Chatham-Kent man is facing four charges after turning himself in to police.
On October 6, police began investigating a bail violation. It was reported the man allegedly entered a home without permission and was confronted by a person he was on conditions not to be within 100-meters of.
On Tuesday afternoon, the 38-year-old turned himself into the police. He was arrested and charged with break and enter and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
He was held pending a bail hearing.
