Things were blowing around across southern Ontario Wednesday.
Environment Canada had issued a wind warning for Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, Elgin, and Norfolk Counties. Forecasters say unseasonably mild temperatures are created windy conditions.
The weather agency cancelled the wind warning at around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Wind gusts of up to 90 kilometres per hour are possible in some areas early, but winds are expected to diminish by late Wednesday night.
"Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur," read the warning from Environment Canada. "Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Utility outages may occur. Avoid wooded areas to prevent injury from falling trees or branches. Campers should move to sturdy shelters."
Temperatures are expected to drop late Wednesday evening, with single-digit highs on Thursday.
