As Chatham-Kent celebrates the holiday season, there are some closures of note across the community.
On Christmas Eve Sunday, most businesses will be closing early if they are not already, and the vast majority of places will be closed on Monday for Christmas Day.
Municipal offices and most services will be closed from December 25 to December 28, as well as January 1, 2024.
They will be back to regularly scheduled hours on December 28 and 29.
For anyone using public transportation, Ride CK service will not be operating on December 25, 26, and January 1.
Curbside garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the weeks of December 26 and January 1, 2024.
The Chatham Township Transfer Station will be closed on December 25.
The Harwich Transfer Station will be closed December 25 and January 1. The Wallaceburg Transfer Station will be closed December 25-26 and January 1.
All other Transfer Stations will be open regular hours.
The Chatham Depot will be closed December 25-26 and January 1. Meanwhile, the Romney Depot will be open regular hours.
The Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will be closed from December 24 to 26, as well as on December 31 and January 1. All arenas are closed on December 25, 26, and January 1.
All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will be closed December 25, 26, 27, 31, and January 1 and 2.
CK Public Health offices will be closed December 25-27 and January 1. Essential after-hours Public Health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.
